Frosty beanie is a simple stockinette beanie, with an interesting construction from the top down, with a large double layer brim.
It’s an everyday winter staple that you can make in every possible colour, easy to grab and put on while going out.
To be honest, I have already made 4 for me and other members my family and I know I’ll be making more, because there is never enough hats in a family with kids…
This pattern comes in 8 sizes from baby to adult and includes schematics and fully detailed written explanations, with links to photo tutorials for the different techniques used in the pattern.
On top of the pdf file, you also get access to a Recipe spreadsheet (.xlsx) to knit the Frosty Beanie with whichever gauge you get. It’s really simple to use : choose the size you want to make and indicate the number of stitches and rounds from your gauge swatch (orange cells). The spreadsheet will calculate every necessary numbers (grey cells) !

The yardage indicated below are for the people knitting the beanie from the pdf file with the intended gauge. If you are using the recipe file, yardage coul differ, depending on the yarn you use and the gauge you get.

This beanie can be worked with a single strand of sport weight yarn or multiple strands of yarn worked together to get a sport weight equivalence, such as a fingering weight yarn with a lace mohair yarn.
Techniques : Crochet provisional cast on (or Long Tail cast on for a simpler cast on), Picking up stitches, M1R and M1L, Sewing a folded hem one stitch at a time (or invisible sewing of a folded hem)
