Summer is coming to an end…
Kids are back at school and day care and my slow work rythm is over. It’s time to dive again in projects and ideas.
But, before, I want to keep here some memories of that summer, to keep in mind all those good times together, here and there, and everything we did and discovered…
It weren’t the vacations yet, but it was already summer. In June, we were at the wedding party of 2 dear friends and I made a big macramé to hang in their garden for the occasion. It was my first big piece ! It didin’t take me as much as I thought (only one morning), but my shoulders remember it. Next time I do a big one, I’l will divide the time I work on it in small pieces to have less sore muscles…
Mid July, I participated to a yarn festival in the Alps. The location was amazing and I had a great lot of fun (but no pictures to prove it…) !
By the end of July, I assisted a leather workshop in the garden of Une Figue dans le Poirier. I had the opportunity to make myself a small bag and I enjoyed it so much I continued on our family vacation with a small purse and a checkbook cover ! And it is not over yet as I’m already thinking about my next bag (large enough to put my notebooks) and Capucine is asking to make a bag just like mine for herself…
We spent two weeks in Alsace in August, walking in the woods, going to small villages and farmer’s market, doing some wine testiong too… We really appreciated those days !
It wasn’t as nice when we got back home. We had wood fleas all over the house and had to spend some days at our family’s place the time our house was treated. After that, there was a lot of laundry (…) and I was also able to retsrore an old wardrobe to transform it in a big cupboard for our livingroom. I’m proud of myself !
Then, it was time for the children to go back to school (with eagerness) and I have tons of ideas, projects and yearnings : for Instants de Louise, our home, our garden… I just have to choose what to begin with (that’s the hardest part !)…
