Aventures d’automne (Autumn adventures) is the 3rd pattern I created around the 4 seasons, after Doux Printemps and Rêves d’été.
For this season, I knew what I wanted to make : a cowl, easy to slip on when you go outside to enjoy the lasts bits of sun, when it is begginning to get a bit cold… I imagined a big braid, some zigzags and twisted stockinette to have a bit of structure. From the first sketch to the final sample, for once, I had no change of mind, no issue… All went well !
In my mind, I would have taken the pictures in a vineyard, axcept there is none near my home. So, I changed my mind and, wirh a friend, we went in the wood nearby. A few leaves, somes berries, a soft sun and it was as perfect as I could have imagined it ! thanks to my friend Marie who was so nice to accept posing for me 🙂
Aventures d’automne (Autumn adventures) is a simple and textured cowl. A big braid and meanders pattern created with simple cables ornate the cowl. It’s the perfect accessory to live every Autumn day like a new adventure.
This time, I contacted Cathrin Walk, from the lovely Walk Collection yarns, to realise this project. together, we chose Silky BFL DK in envy (a soft blend of 55% BFL and 45 % Silk). All the colours from Cathrin are gorgeous and it was tough to choose…I think I need some more… 😉
Tonigh (9pm CEST), Cathrin has a shop update, with DK so that you can knit this cowl… Count 2 skeins and, if you have not buy the pattern yet, Aventures d’automne is 25% off until Friday 21st (23:59, CEST), with the code FALLWALK on Ravelry.
