Work as indicated on the pattern until the increase. Locate the strand of yarn between connecting the stitch you have just work to the next stitch on the left needle.

Pass the point of the left needle under this strand of yarn, from back to front.

Pass the tip of the right needle knitwise in the front loop on the left needle.

Pass the working yarn around the tip of the right needle and pull it with the right needle (= knit 1 st) to create a new stitch.

You have worked an M1R increase !

M1L
